Ongoing full-time locum needs across three sites — two in Central Michigan and one in the Upper Peninsula. A growing hospital network with a supportive team and a locum-to-perm path if you want to put down roots.
The Role
- ✓Growing, expanding hospital network with several ongoing needs as it shifts from an independent group to direct employment
- ✓Preferred schedule of 4-10s or 5-8s, varies by site
- ✓Call is negotiable at Central Michigan sites — $500/day weekday, $1,200/day weekend, $300/hr callback (2-hr guarantee)
- ✓Overtime paid at 1.5x base rate for hours worked above 40/week
- ✓17 ORs plus 5 additional off-site anesthesia locations across the Central Michigan site
- ✓A locum-to-perm (W-2) option is available if you're interested in long-term relocation — ask us about it
Choose the Site That Fits
#1 · Central Michigan
Call negotiable. Requires AHA BLS/ACLS. Cases: endoscopy, general, OB/GYN, ortho, pain management, urology, vascular, healthy peds, thoracic. Blocks preferred, not required.
#2 · Independent CRNA Site, Central MI
Float between 3 sites; call at one site only with a 1-hour response time. M–F, 8-hour shifts (0630–1500). Weeknight call to 11pm, weekend call 7a–11p. Independent model: scopes, laparoscopic abdominal, ophthalmology (cataracts), podiatry, orthopedics, occasional vascular, cardiology (TEEs/cardioversions), general anesthetics, MAC, regional/blocks (optional — will teach), plus ward & ED support. GI cases at one site only. ~80–90% outpatient. 1–2 business days orientation/proctoring.
#3 · Upper Peninsula
M–F (5 8s). Room time 0715, arrival 0630–0645. Works in collaboration with an MD anesthesiologist — looking for a CRNA who can work independently during regular hours and on call. Mostly outpatient surgical/endoscopic, some OB (labor epidurals and C-sections with spinal). Bread-and-butter ortho, endo, general surgery, urology, and ENT. Nerve block experience helpful, not mandatory.
Credentialing
- ✓CRNA licensed in Michigan — average credentialing time is 30 days
- ✓ACLS / BLS / PALS (AHA)
